Delete your Workword account
Remove selected data or request full account deletion.
Cancel billing first
Deleting an account does not cancel Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe company billing, and changing account type does not cancel it either. Cancel Apple in Settings > your name > Subscriptions; its cancellation follows Apple’s terms. In Google Play, open your profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions; uninstalling does not cancel. A Stripe company billing administrator must cancel in the Stripe Customer Portal or billing workflow; deleting an employee account does not cancel the company subscription. Workword access follows the entitlement reported by the provider and returns to the applicable free limits when paid access ends.
Delete selected data
In Settings, choose Delete my data to remove available selected learning or profile data while keeping the Workword account.
Delete your account
In Settings, choose Delete account for full deletion of the account and associated personal data we are not required to retain; you are signed out.
Verify your request
We verify that a request comes from the account holder or an authorised person. If the app is unavailable, email contact@workword.eu from the account address with subject “Account deletion request”; explain if that address is unavailable so ownership can be verified another way.
Records we may retain
We remove Firebase Authentication and profile identifiers, learning history and progress, preferences, challenge data, profile photo, employer/company link, and Workword access fields. Support messages, reports, flags, legacy chat membership/public key, unusable encrypted ciphertext/files, and technical records may be deleted, anonymised, aggregated, or retained where feasible. Legal, invoicing, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, support, safety, and operational records are retained when required. Backups and disaster-recovery copies may persist until normal rotation. They are not used as an active account and are removed under the applicable retention schedule. Downloaded or shared files, completion certificates, and data on your device are not removed. Sign out, clear app data, remove offline lesson packs, or uninstall to remove local copies.
